It's essential to me that my clients feel safe, supported, and understood as we collaborate to create an actionable plan together

Elizabeth’s path to being a Vantage Point advisor has been rich and varied, which contributes to her ease in connecting with a wide variety of people and circumstances. Past roles include, paralegal, law office manager, psychotherapist, mom, and actor, ultimately leading to a career as a CFP® professional.

All these experiences contribute to Elizabeth’s wisdom, compassion, and her special interest in helping clients build financial literacy. “I especially love helping women develop meaningful financial knowledge so they can confidently make choices about money, aligning its use with what truly matters most in their lives.”

Throughout her childhood, Elizabeth’s family moved to several different states, exposing her to many parts of the country. She explains that this fostered a resiliency and ability to adapt that continues to serve her in all areas of life.

After college graduation, Elizabeth began working at a law firm in Denver practicing municipal bond law. She subsequently worked as a paralegal for a law firm in Minneapolis and, at 25, also became the office manager.

Elizabeth then leaned into her people skills by obtaining her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University, and practiced psychotherapy in the San Jose area.

After relocating to Portland and having two children, Nora and Cassper, Elizabeth made the decision to stay home with them. She was an active volunteer at their schools, and also enjoyed acting in local productions.

In 2014, Elizabeth decided to return to working outside the home and began a career in financial services, obtaining core insurance and securities licenses. She later began an intensive six-month training program for financial planning professionals. There, she realized her strong relationship skills have genuine value in serving clients. With this understanding, Elizabeth then obtained her CFP® certification. As her experience and roles grew, she also discovered a pull toward working with widows.

Elizabeth returned to Minnesota in late 2024, a place she loves to be. She connected with Joe McRae at Vantage Point and joined the team as a Financial Advisor in 2026. “When Joe and I met, we just clicked. I’m excited to see what we can build together, serving clients in a deeper, more meaningful way.” Elizabeth’s role involves helping support Joe’s clients, and continuing to advise her own group of established clients.

In Elizabeth’s spare time, she can often be found cooking for friends and family, followed by hilarious rounds of board games. She also enjoys solving crossword puzzles and cryptograms. Another thing to know about Elizabeth: she’s a “major” Disney parks fan.

Elizabeth’s love of the theater continues, and her kids share her passion. Nora and Elizabeth attend musicals together and play “Broadway Jeopardy,” while Cassper is working toward his Bachelor’s in Theatre Arts.
