Ellen admits she enjoys creating spreadsheets. And though her job revolves around details and data, Ellen is very much a people person. In fact, one of her other favorite things about her role is running into clients in the office or visiting with them at Vantage Point events. In her day-to-day interactions with clients and in the greater community, Ellen shares that she is passionate about fostering financial literacy and inclusivity.
As a child growing up in Deephaven, Minnesota, Ellen says she always loved school, “especially math and writing.” She went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota, where she studied economics, international studies, and French. She pursued these interests both locally and globally, working in Minnesota, Morocco, and Cambodia. She has an ongoing love for food and adventure, a natural curiosity about people and culture, and invites any and all travel stories our clients would like to share.
Ellen lives in Minneapolis and can often be found walking and biking around the lakes, reading, gardening, printmaking, and taking a variety of community education classes, from Woodworking to Somali. A self-described regular at Sebastian Joe’s Ice Cream Shop, Ellen is all about investing in the joy of a sweet treat.
